Hard-Line has released new technology it said will automate the rock-breaking process: its Auto Rockbreaker product.
According to company sales VP Phil Pelland, a 40-year mining veteran, the evolution of rockbreakers has been slow up through current times. In this case, added technology VP Ryan Siggelkow, the new release has made one of the more difficult mining methods much easier.
“A major benefit is that the system does not require a highly trained operator, which will make it easier for companies to attract talent,” Siggelkow said.
Pelland noted that, besides the fact it removes operators from dangerous environments, Auto Rockbreaker provides operator solutions for limited visibility and poor depth perception.
“It is compatible with all rockbreaker makes and models and it is designed to be retrofitted for existing breakers,” he said.
HARD-LINE said that, as it advances the technology, it is looking to partner with more mine sites to further augment the system’s unique capabilities.
The company is appearing at MINExpo through Wednesday at Booth 1013.
